And by "not disabled" yes, I mean that the onboard card stays connected to the internet even when the PC is going into sleep (which is oddly not the case with the PCIe card)Īs for your 2nd remark, I think you're right, I didn't followed it completely, because I looked in the PCIe card's properties (where this option is absent), not in the onboard chips properties. But I only have one cable available in the PC room, so using both cards is not an was an option under the onboard card's properties. I could use both cards, actually using the onboard chipset only for waking the PC purposes. So is there something I can do to fix this? I have read the FAQ and the WoL guide, I have the latest firmware (7C02v35), I think I have checked everything in the BIOS settings (allowing wake by PCIe, disabling ErP.), as well as in Windows 10 settings, but to no avail. So in my opinion it's not a problem with my NIC, but with the mobo. I have run some tests with the mobo's Ethernet chipset, and I have the exact same result, no WoL, internet connectivity lost when PC goes into sleep mode. I don't understand why it should not work with WoL, because the Aquantia chipset it's based on is perfectly compatible with WoL. Before you point that out, yes, it's said to be incompatible with WoL (!) But it has always been working flawlessly with my former setup, a Intel CPU with an Asus Z170 motherboard. I am using a Asus XG C100C as my network card (I have a 10 Gbps ISP). In fact I think I have the exact same problem that this user reported in october. Everything reverts back to normal when I wake the PC. The LED is shutting off, I lose all my current connections, nothing is working internet-wise. When my PC is going into sleep mode, the ethernet card is disabled.
